My Dog Gone Wild

Every year we have a gift card swap with our out-of-town friends. We found this to be a great way to stay in touch for the Holiday across long distances and still have a gift exchange. With more and more people shopping online, we found the perfect gift card swap idea.

The gift card exchange of restaurants and specific stores was something we all have done in the past. Knowing that our friends are dog lovers like us, we wanted the flexibility of allowing them the option to buy a dog lover gift or something else if they wanted; so our gift card swap this year will be Amazon gift cards.

We ordered a couple of boxes of dog Christmas cards this year and we can print the gift cards right from our home computer. Gift exchanges work great for large families during the holidays and are perfect for out of state friends with a gift card swap. Try it you’ll love it.

With the concern today of “Going Green,” I was looking for something we could to reduce our use of plastic and paper. The first thing that came to mind was a reusable grocery store bag or tote bag. We have seen tote bags on the market but we wanted something to show off our dog.

We came across a Plott hound reusable grocery bag that fit the bill. It was a canvas bag big enough to hold quite a bit of groceries. We decided to buy four reusable grocery bags that will accommodate our weekly trip. We cannot wait to start using our new dog tote bags and show off our Plott hound.
