Amazing Stuffing Free Dog Toys

Stuffing Free Dog Toys

Our dog is one heavy chewer! Kong dog toys work great but we wanted to give him some variety. We have tried several different plush dog toys but he rips the stuffing out in minutes. Knowing that eating the stuffing is not good for our dog we set out looking for an alternative.

We saw an ad on television for a stuffing free dog toy. Our local pet store did not carry this item, however we did find it at our favorite website. This flat stuffing free dog toy is perfect…he can chew away, toss it up in the air whatever he chooses. He loves it and we love the fact of no stuffing to clean up or worry about him eating it with this safe dog toy.

Kong Dog ToysThe extreme Kong dog toys is not quite the same as the red Kong dog toys, which apparently is much flimsier. I bought this for my neighbor’s good-natured pit bull Major, after seeing him shred everything else. Thin rubber squeaky dog toys last only a few hours, nylon bones perhaps a day or two, and even the thick rubber chill pill was shredded. However, the Kong Extreme dog toy has, to my surprise, remained intact.

I had begun to think that only a chunk of cinderblock would survive…maybe. Extreme Kong dog toys take funny bounces (which apparently is part of the idea. Toys with rope handles made for better slobber-avoiding toss-and-fetching, but handles were chewed off very quickly.

You can throw this Kong dog toy by poking your finger in the holes and tossing–it is marginally better in terms of slobber than many other dog toys. Kong dog toys come in different sizes–the largest may outweigh your toy Chihuahua, so be judicious. If a neighbor has a pit bull, getting on his good side is important, even if he is as good-natured as Major!

Dogs Like Presents Too!

8 December;  Author: Daily Wag

Dog With Kong Dog ToyWith all the goings on during the holidays giving your pooch a dog toy is a great way to keep them occupied and out of trouble. Kong dog toys are one of the best you can give your dog as they virtually indestructible and rewards them with a treat. Filling your kong dog toy with peanut butter will keep them occupied for hours.

Don’t fill the kong dog toy all the way with peanut butter. Stuff the bottom 1/2 – 2/3 with dry food or treats and the clog the top 1/3 or so with something soft like peanut butter. If you fill the whole thing with something that’s impossible to get out without tearing the dog toy apart, your dog will tear the toy apart.

Give A Holiday Gift For Your Dog

19 November;  Author: Hrynewich

Dog ToyEvery year we give a dog toy gift to our dog for the Holiday. She gets dog toys all year but especially one for Christmas…it’s great watching her open her present. We came across this customer review and thought we would pass it along. It is going to be our dog toy gift this year.

Great Dog Toy
My dog has a great time with this toy. The little squirrels inside the trunk are squeaky toys, which she LOVES. The box came with instructions on how to motivate and teach your pet to use it. We put a small treat in the bottom and she had a great time digging it out.

The whole process for removing the squirrels from the dog toy takes her less than a minute now, so if there is not a human nearby to restock the trunk, she moves on to something else. This is not something I would leave her with and expect it to keep her occupied for the day.

I would say that if your pet enjoys this general type of play (stuffed things, digging, hide and seek) this is an EXCELLENT dog toy and a lot of fun.

Finally An Indestructible Dog Toy

23 October;  Author: Daily Wag

huck-indestructible-ball-dog-toyIn our search for a dog toy our pooch would not destroy in an afternoon, we found the Huck Indestructible Ball Dog Toy. This ball is the best I have ever seen! It can be chewed on for hours and not a mark on it. Excellent if your dog is chewer.

When our dog throws it up in the air for play it bounces high, far, and in unpredictable ways that greatly entertain your dog. The crevices give the dog a good place to grab and definitely enhance the whole experience. When I throw the ball for my dog, I never know where it will end up after the first bounce.

This new indestructible dog toy is also made from safe recyclable material found in all Huck dog toys and it’s handcrafted in Bozeman, Montana. Great for not only those chewers but also for dogs who love to play fetch and it even floats so taking the dog to the beach means even more fun to be had.

Caution-Some Dog Toys Are Toxic

6 October;  Author: Hrynewich

Plush Dog ToyRecently, there has been concern that some dog toys are toxic to both your family and your dog. If you have, any dog toys made from vinyl or PVC you should replace them immediately. Both contain toxic chemicals and quite possibly lead. How can you tell if the dog toy is vinyl? Take a whiff if it smells like vinyl it most likely is.

With the variety of dog toys on the market today, making a safe choice can be the ease part; determining which kind to buy is another matter. If your dog is a moderate chewer then a plush dog toy is a good choice. Most are machine washable and keeping several around rotating as needed is a great way to keep them clean.

Dog toys play an important role in your dog’s life from temperament to wellbeing. Look at the dog toys in your collection, if you cannot identify whether you have a toxic dog toy then replace them with new organic dog toys. Organic dog toys are toys such as a rope toy made from natural jute, organic cotton in plush dog toys and others made of wool materials. These dog toys are rather inexpensive, priced from $3.99 to about $15 dollars.

Dog FrissbeeAs fall draws closer so too will colder temperatures. Although my dog can handle cooler weather I on the other hand not so much. One of our favorite things to do is play Frisbee. With 1000’s of dog toys on the market, her favorite by far is a dog Frisbee.

She is great at playing fetch with her dog Frisbee in fact we could play for hours. While exercise is a must for dogs if you can incorporate playing in their routine then all the better and with the change of temperature coming soon we are taking advantage of the time.

Dogs Need Quality Time Too

2 September;  Author: Hrynewich

Dog Toy

In our busy lives, spending quality time with our dogs is vital to health and happiness. Dogs do not ask for much their focus is trying every way possible to please their owners. In return, they need to spend some quality time with us every day. That could be as simple as brushing or going for a short walk.

My personal favorite is playing Frisbee. My dog loves to play fetch with just about any dog toy but a dog Frisbee really gets her going. We can always tell when she is ready for some quality time. She grabs the nearest dog toy, of which we have plenty, and puts it right your lap. With tail wagging and gleam in her eye, you cannot say no. Show her the Frisbee and she is in seventh heaven.

Regardless of how busy a day I have had, spending some time with my dog playing with her favorite dog toy helps me unwind and give her the quality time she deserves. We play fetch for about 30 minutes and then finish off with a half-hour walk. Playing with her favorite dog toy and getting some exercise is great for both us.
