My wife and I love to entertain and with each event our dog quickly becomes the life of the party. We are planning a Halloween party this year for our block. Everyone down our street is going to get involved so we are having the street closed for the event. We all go from house to house for hors d’ oeuvres for the adults, caddy for the kids, and special treats for the dogs.
With everyone in costumes the dogs of the block become the most fun in their dog Halloween costumes. Our Griffon in her little dog dress will be the life of the party.
Most people think that paw protectors for their dog are only good for winter but rather they can protector your dog’s paws year
round. The other day when I was walking my dog, we ran into some broken glass on the side of the road.
Of course, my dog almost walked right through it and instead we moved into the street and around the glass. It was one of those first hot sunny days and the asphalt was blazing hot. I was glad I still outfitted her with her paw protectors. I can only image what walking on hot asphalt would have done to the pads on her paws. With the temperatures heating up so will streets and sidewalks you use to walk your dog.
Paw Protectors For Dogs – Great For Walking On A Muddy Trail
We live on a dirt road and every time we take our dog for a walk, her paws are covered in mud. We decided to buy a set of paw protectors to help reduce the cleaning before she tracts mud throughout the house.
The paw protectors work great! What use to take 15 to 20 minutes of dunking in water and towel drying now takes just a few minutes to wipe off a little splashing. The paw protectors slip off easily, rinse off, and dry fast so she is ready for another walk later in the day.
Backpacking is one of my favorite pass times and with most places, my dog is able to join me. When we go backpacking, we are usually gone for about five days so the backpacks are pretty full. My dog has her own dog backpack so she can pull her own weight.
The dog backpack carriers everything she needs from food & water to her first aid kit made especially for dogs. The best feature about my dog’s backpack is that you can detach the bags while the harness stays in place. Perfect for when we reach our campsite and I need to take for a walk.
Our dog is a member of the Working Group and loves to spend as much time as possible outdoors. No matter the weather conditions, our Husky is ready to go, playing or walking, as long as it involves being outside she is happy. Living on a dirt road covered in snow and rocks outfitting our dog in paw protectors provided an extra measure of comfort.
It took a bit for our dog to get used to the paw protectors. Once she realized how great they worked and it meant going for longer walks now, she jumps up and down waiting for her dog paw protectors to go on. I am looking forward to spring when the yard and our walking path turns to mud; with the paw protectors keeping her feet dry and dirt free.

The snow is falling and the coldest weather thus far is right on the horizon. We took a look at last year’s dog coats and decided that it was time to invest in a new one. After an extensive search, we found the perfect dog coat for our dog.
We have a 16-pound French bulldog that can be hard to fit (girth 19″; neck 13″, length 15″), but this dog coat works great because of the adjustable Velcro belt and collar. She has the medium dog coat which is a little long for her length-wise, but I just scrunch up the excess material above the belt a bit. The dog coat is made of thick fleece and is of very nice quality. She looks so cute in her new dog coat – we have already gotten compliments!
This weekend coming up our vet’s will be having a picture with Santa photo session for all their clients. Last year’s event was great with dogs everywhere with one clients’ pooch in a dog Christmas costume. They had a Miniature Pincher that looked darling in Christmas dress.
This year we found the perfect dog Christmas costume for our dog and cannot wait to attend the photo shoot with Santa. The pictures are going to be priceless.
Winter has certainly arrived here in Michigan with temperatures in the 20’s and a light dusting of snow on the ground. In search for a new dog sweater, we came across some dog clothes accessories. The first item we saw was a dog Christmas stocking.
Although this was not our intention, but when we saw the dog Christmas stocking we could not resist. We decided that this year along with a new dog sweater we would buy a new stocking and fill it with her favorite treats and few new toys. The dog Christmas stocking is going to look great hanging next to the rest of the families and she is going to have a blast on Christmas morning with her new stuff…if she can wait that long.

As the snow begins to fall in the Northern 48 dog boots and dog paw protectors can become an important accessory to your dog clothes. Below is a customer review of a very popular brand:
Hands down the best dog boots going ™¥™¥™¥™¥™¥
This is my 4th pair of Muttluk all weather boots. I have tried the winter fleece-lined boots only once. They are too warm for my dog. I have an Australian Shepherd mix who is very heavy footed. My dog ejects himself from the back door, off the deck onto the grass at full speed and gallops across the yard in rain, mud or snow to get to whatever creature he has seen that has his interest. He will “throw a shoe” on occasion, but they wear like iron. I buy a pair new every year, and keep the old ones just in case. 90% of the time they stay on and with a dog this large and active, that in itself is a miracle. These are – hands down – the best boots going. Older dogs will take a while to get used to them and it depends on the personality and temperament of your dog as to whether or not they will wear them. My dog does what he’s told and has no problems. Give them a try. If you don’t like them, return them.
According to the weather person, winter will be in full swing this weekend. A friend who lives in Texas said they had snow on the grass already…can you believe it Texas! We have a small dog who loves to go for walks and come with us everywhere we go. We decided this year to get her a new dog coat that would keep her warm and set her apart from her doggie friends.
Our search did not disappoint; we found a faux mink dog coat that is perfect. The best thing was the dog coat was 50% off and looked great adding a touch of elegance. Now when she accompanies us on her daily walk she struts almost prancing as she passes her friends. The look on her face is priceless.
